The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology has been functioning in PVS Sunrise Hospital since its inception. It has been giving stellar service in Obstetrics and Gynaecology care to woman not only in Kozhikode but also in many surrounding districts. It is indeed a household name for opting for delivery, prenatal and postnatal care. This department has developed a very good name in the field for routine obstetric care, high risk obstetric care and obstetric critical care. Advanced care in Neonatology also helps the patients to achieve a happy outcome even after extreme conditions in pregnancy.
This department cares and supports women at each stage of life from puberty to menopause and after. Special emphasis is laid on Preconception Care, High Risk Pregnancy, General Gynaecology, Gynaec Laparoscopy, and Infertility Treatment. We have a dedicated and enthusiastic team of doctors with a wide range of experience to provide excellent care.
A variety of surgeries can be done laparoscopically, including: Adrenal gland removal, Appendectomy, Biopsies, Bladder removal, Cancer, Cyst, fibroid, stone, and polyp removals, Ectopic pregnancy removal, Endometriosis surgery, Oesophageal surgery, Kidney removal, Prostate removal, Rectal prolapse repair, Rectum removal, Removal of part of the bowel, Removal of part of the liver, Small tumour removals, Spleen removal, Stomach removal, Testicle correction surgery, Tubal ligation and reversal, Urethral and vaginal reconstruction surgery.
Doctors also use laparoscopic surgery to help diagnose patients if the results of imaging tests such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound aren’t clear. The laparoscopy allows doctors to take a better look at an area of concern. They can also use it to look for the cause of belly or pelvic pain.
